報告題目：Bridge genome to phenome in livestock: A systems biology approach

報告人：Huaijun Zhou

Huaijun Zhou，professor in University of California, Davis.

Zhou’s world-recognized research program applies contemporary genetic, genomic and bioinformatics technologies to answer important biological questions and apply the knowledge to improve global food security, animal welfare, production efficiency, and food safety. He has received more than $23 million in funding. Current projects include: Improving food security in Africa by enhancing resistance to NDV and heat in chickens; Defining the Molecular mechanism of gut colonization resistance in chicks; Functional annotation of regulatory elements in livestock genomes; and Animal systems biology analysis and modeling. Zhou has published 110peer-reviewed papers.

He was honored Zoetis Fundamental Science Award, Evonik Degussa Award for Achievement in Poultry Science, Chancellor’s Fellow, UC Davis,Outstanding Overseas Young Investigator Award, NSF China, Hy-Line International Research Award and PSA Early Achievement Award for Research.
