報告人簡介：

Dr. Mark Hoffmann is Associate Professor at North Carolina State University and specializes in viticulture, strawberry production and propagation. He earned his PhD and MS in Biology at the University of Mainz in Germany. He consults directly with strawberry growers and strawberry plant propagators in the US and Canada, is engaged in strawberry cultivar evaluations in open-field production and greenhouses, and in research to optimize CEA propagation systems. He is the main author of 3 grower production guides and more than 25 peer-reviewed publications. He serves as Extension Department Leader at the Department of Horticultural Science at NC State University, is the recipient of the Henry Covington Award for Excellence in Extension, recipient of the Member of Distinction Award given by the NC Grower Association, and is a Goodnight Early Career Fellow. He recently is travelling to different strawberry production regions in the world to learn more about the industry worldwide. Dr. Hoffmann will give an introduction and deeper overview of the current status of the US and Canadian Strawberry Production and Nursery Industry.
